Open Sound System for Linux x86

What is OSS/Linux?

OSS/Linux is a commercial implementation of the Linux sound drivers that are
packaged with the Linux kernel. OSS/Linux is 100% compatible with the "freeware"
drivers (now known as OSS/Free). The advantages that OSS/Linux has over the free
drivers are:

* Commercial grade product for Linux backed by full technical support and
support for the latest Linux kernels.
* A user friendly GUI (curses based) to configure the soundcard!
* No more guessing soundcard kernel parameters and no need to recompile your
kernel to add sound support!
* Support for PnP (plug and play) sound cards!
* Support for certain sound cards with proprietary programming info. Note: such
cards will not be supported in OSS/Free.
* Autodetection of certain soundcards and manual configuration ability to change
soundcard parameters on the fly.

OSS/Linux is aimed at the commercial Linux market and new Linux users who
require products which are stable, easy to use and come with technical support.
If you think saving few hours of work is worth $20, then OSS/Linux is for you!
